The licence

Written analysis and original graphics on this site are published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International. You may copy, redistribute, adapt and build on them, for any purpose including commercially, as long as you give credit.

How to credit

For a graphic in a newsletter, presentation or post:

If you adapt something

Changes are allowed and welcome — crop a graphic, translate it, pull one panel out for a slide. Say that you changed it, so a reader does not attribute your edit to this publication.

What is not covered

• Photographs of individuals that appear inside some graphics may carry their own rights. The licence covers the graphic as published by The State Ledger, not any third-party photograph within it.
• Data from state agencies is generally public record, but cite the agency rather than this site if the figure is what you are using.
• The State Ledger name and wordmark are not covered by the content licence. Do not use them in a way that implies this publication endorses your work.
